After winning an exciting game on Saturday that secured the institution’s chances for a bowl game, University of Miami’s administration selected a self-imposed ban on playing a bowl game. The football team and school community are disappointed with this decision. However, in spite of the disappointments, Coach Golden indicates that the team remains unified and tough. The school has been under fire after Nevin Shapiro’s revelations that he provided thousands of dollars to UM impressionable players over a nine-year period. The self-imposed ban may have been decided to gain some leniency on any disciplinary actions that the team will have to face in the future.
